Over the last few months the Science Subject Expert Group has been working on developing new documents to use when assessing Science at L1 as part of the changes to NCEA.
You will find them at the bottom of this page: ps://consultation.education.govt.nz/ncea/sector-feedback-science
Please make sure you look at all the documents – we have a learning matrix as well as an assessment matrix and it is important to read through the rationale as well.
There will also be a questionnaire for you to provide your feedback – due 1 March 2020. MoE is seriously hoping teachers will engage individually first then once school reopens that they discuss the products in their departments and feed back again as a group.
