    • Science Learning Hub now has a Kaihautū Māori – Simone Marsters – who is building on current resources and creating new ones. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments about Hub resources please email them.
  3. Student opportunities:
    • In SPACE CHALLENGE 2023 students use space technologies to find new innovative solutions to address climate change issues in our region. There’s a live-streamed kick-off event 18 May, 5:30-7:30pm at GridAKL Futures Lab, Ak. Winners get $8000, finalists can take home $1000.

    • Te Papa offers teachers free PLD (face-to-face only), Tues 23 May, 4:30pm on Matariki, to support their new exhibition. Register here as spaces are limited.
    • BLAKE Inspire for Teachers Program gives 90 NZ yr 1-8 teachers a week of hands-on environmental learning. Excluding travel to Ak, fully funded: 3-7 Jul, 25-29 Sep, 2-6 Oct (hols). Apply by 8 May!
