    • Scholarship Biology tutorials have started (fortnightly from Mon March 18 at 7pm). Keep an eye on the Facebook page for dates. Alison Campbell records a summary afterwards for those who can’t make it. Starting with an intro to performance standards here.

MoE/NZQA

  1. The co-requisite standards (literacy, numeracy) can be achieved by specific CAA assessments. But for 2024 and 2025 students can also gain literacy and numeracy credits from some subject stds. For the Science this includes: AgH1.1; CB1.3; PES 1.4; SCI1.1 & 1.4.

Professional Learning & Development (PLD) Opportunities

  1. In preparation for Primary Science Week, Science Learning Hub has a free PLD webinar Fun and safety with primary science Thurs 4 Apr, 4 – 4:45 pm. Relevant sections of The Safety and Science / Pūtaiao: Guidance for Aotearoa NZ Schools & Kura document will be highlighted and exemplified.
